COMMUNICATIONS

A Passion for Impact

From journalism to public affairs and communications, I have a passion for telling stories that cut through the noise and make a positive impact. On critical issues ranging from housing costs to mobility, unprecedented supply chain bottlenecks and beyond, below are a few of my most memorable projects.

Super Bowl LVI: Uplifting Communities

Leading up to LA’s first Super Bowl in nearly three decades, I played a key role in the Host Committee’s communications efforts. Co-producing a series engaging, people-focused videos, I helped tell the stories of diverse local businesses, such as the award-winning Oaxacan restaurant Guelaguetza and the historic 27th Street Bakery. I was also involved in communications for the Super Bowl LVI Legacy Program — including executive speechwriting for its launch event at SoFi Stadium — that delivered grants to local "unsung heroes" making a difference.

Perceptions and Policy: LA’s Homelessness Crisis

Collaborating with the Los Angeles Business Council Institute (LABCI), Los Angeles Times, and nationally prominent pollster Hart Research Associates, I helped lead the communications program behind a groundbreaking survey that aimed to tackle the region’s homelessness crisis by identifying voter perspectives and policy preferences. This project, which culminated in a multi-part LA Times series, shed new light on local voters’ No. 1 issue and highlighted the importance of public perception in shaping effective policy.

Housing and Mobility Advocacy

I've been instrumental in crafting thought leadership pieces published by CNBC, Smart Cities Dive, and other platforms. These op-eds — including one co-bylined by 12-time NBA All-Star Chris Paul — address urgent issues such as housing affordability and mobility access, each proposing pragmatic, actionable solutions.

Workforce Development and Microelectronics

As the James Webb Space Telescope continues to reshape our understanding of the universe, my communications work at the company that led its development has spotlighted significant contributions to technology and workforce development. Examples include syndicated pieces on a leading manufacturing apprenticeship program and the California DREAMS initiative, a landmark effort to ramp up domestic production of essential advanced microelectronics technologies.
